No matter where you go, someone you know knows someone there...

My cousin Tyler happened to go to high school with a girl who works at my hospital.  She is a traveling nurse so won't be in town much longer, but nonetheless it was cool to hang out with her and she's hoping to come back in a few months.

She was very generous in giving me a giant list of the coolest places to check out in Alaska, which we will be taking full advantage of in the coming months.  

Yesterday, Kristi and I went on a hike to this glacier. This beauty was an hour south of Anchorage. The hike was about a mile in and a mile out.  Still can't believe we're in Alaska!
