We felt our first earthquake last week. Pete and I were both home. It sounded like a big huge wind gust came by because the apartment creaked so loud as it shook for a few seconds. It took me a second to figure out what was going on, but by the time I realized what it was and got a little concerned it was over. A little eerie feeling, but cool to experience at the same time. Thankful our apartment still stands.
After looking online we found out it was a magnitude of 5.8! We were also a bit surprised by how often there are miniature earthquakes in Alaska...take a look...
I'm glad it didn't affect you any more than it did. It is definitely a different world up there in Alaska!
