This hike is the most popular hike in Anchorage. It's called Flat Top Mountain. It was a little sketchy this time of year. Especially toward the top where you're hiking straight up on loose rock as well as the last 20 feet or so that were on very slippery boulder rocks due to melting snow. I decided to skip that part thinking I'd rather live another day than roll to the bottom of the mountain. Pete decided he still needed to prove himself and make it to the top. What a man!!
Wish we could have gotten a few more pictures to give you the full effect, but it was quite chilly and windy up there.
For those of you visiting this summer, there's also another trail off this hike that is a bit easier and has a multitude of blueberries to be picked.
We're finding that after each mountain we climb, eating an entire pizza is very necessary.

Glad no one rolled off the mountaintop!
