Bittersweet

We thought we would share with those who don't already know....

We're moving back to Minnesota this coming April!

This move is bittersweet for us.

We have absolutely LOVED every minute of our time here in Alaska.  We feel so lucky to have had the chance to live this adventure for the past Year and 5 months.  Prior to moving here we prayed that God would teach us in many ways that we couldn't even imagine.  We feel we've learned a lot in marriage this year being so far away from anything we knew to be comfortable.  Starting fresh and finding who we are as a team.  God drew us to an amazing church, where we found some of the greatest friends who have challenged us, loved us, and showed us what it's like to live in community with oneanother.  And of course, we've seen some of the most BEAUTIFUL landscape you could ever imagine, and seen how life looks just a little different in Alaska:)  It was an experience we will never forget.  

While it will be tough to leave our friends and such a wonderful state, we have a lot to look forward to being back in the midwest.  We are especially excited to reinvest with our family and friends, as they are pretty great.  I personally, am also looking forward to warm summers, and in general being able to see family and friends without emptying our pocketbook.  

So, what's next you ask?  Well, we hardly own a thing up here, so we'll sell the few furniture items that we have, load up our vehicle, and drive.  Drive some more, and a little more.  3,239 miles to get from Anchorage, along the Alaska/Canada Hwy, to Minneapolis. We'll arrive at what was once a bachelor pad (Pete's old existence,) to what is now Pete and Tracy's homestead in South Minneapolis. We've both been submitting resumes here and there, and we pray to get something that's a good fit in good timing.
