We've Arrived!

We made it to Alaska!! 

We feel incredibly blessed to be able to Adventure to Anchorage, as well as to make it through all the steps without any big issues.  

We've seen God provide for us in many amazing ways:

I received my Alaskan nursing license in the mail the last day in Minnesota.  Woo-Hoo!!

We fit almost everything we wanted to bring with us in 6 suitcases,  and made the airline weight limit in all of them without having to rearrange a thing. 

We did arrive in Seattle for a layover to find out our flight to Anchorage was cancelled, however we got the last two seats on next flight out a couple hours later and got a free meal out of the deal.  

We arrived in anchorage in the dark so weren't able to see much of anything, but we picked up our rental truck and made our way to our hotel where we will be staying for the first week while we find a new residence.  

Saturday morning we woke up EARLY, not quite adjusted to the new time zone.  

Once the sun had risen we ventured outside to see the most amazing mountains we have ever seen!! We're excited to take some pictures of them to show you. Everytime we turn a corner on the streets and see the mountains again we smile and stare.  Not something we're used to seeing every day. 

It's definitely winter here.  It's been snowing since Saturday morning, but it hasn't been an issue yet with our 4 wheel drive truck we rented:)  Have yet to see a snowplow.  

We've basically been looking at apartments since we got here.  

Rent is definitely more expensive here for what you get.  

Hoping to make a decision on an apartment by early this week.
